Love this one with the black A pillars. The chrome or silver ones look awful.

I uh, like the silver too though.

Miata parts. Direct swap. All ND Miatas have black windshield surround trim... and the mirror caps can be painted or wrapped.

My spouse is seriously in love with the ND Miata, as a successor to our aging NB Miata. I am trying to hold out to see what the Fiat 124 is going to offer with more turbocharged torque.

An Abarth version has me dreaming, too... but I think it needs a blacked out hood.

Although on the new one, I would black out the windshield frame and door handle as well, and the grille mounted lights and black plastic edging might not be necessary. The Alfa 8C side fender vents are interesting, but doubtful to be used by Fiat.

I would also use the brown leather interior, and maybe antique matte gold on the wheels to go with it.

It would be awesome but unlikely to get a Daytona style seat option, like a Ferrari.

Im just hoping you’ll be able to get a LSD with tan interior for under $30k. 98% sure I’ll be buying one if that happens. But yea, if you’re going to have a black hood, you also need a black windshield surround.

IIRC the’ll be available this summer.

Yeah, I am waiting to see. It will be interesting. I like the Fiat brown/tan leather more than the light-tan/khaki Miata leather, anyway, not to mention the Miata’s limited color palette, inside and out. Aside from the Launch Edition Soul Red (additional cost), and Meteor Gray, and black (a convertible should be a brighter color than black... it is a sunny-day friendly car.) I don’t think tan leather is available otherwise, and doesn’t look good with ceramic anyway. The bright blue isn’t offered, only a muted gray-blue.

Yes, let’s hope the fully-loaded version offers the Torsen diff, as well as a reverse camera, which overseas ND Miatas have, but US models, even the GT, do not. It isn’t essential, but it is nice to be able to see the distance on the rear bumper to the parking bumpers or lines below the edge of the trunk lid, or any obstacles that might be there.

Mazda is acting German and playing it too safe with their color palette. Though you could say the same for Fiat, the only not common color is Bronze.

But ha, I back up a Crossfire daily, anything will be easier, assisted or not.

Silver can look good if it’s relatively thin but when used quite thickly like on the Crossfire can take your eyes away from th overall design an not just enhance the appearance of the car. With chrome looking hideous like the front of a Dodge RAM pickup where it looks like it was bought wholesale.
